Bamboo comes in two main colors, blonde in its natural state and carbonized, which is a smoking process that alters the sugars in the bamboo resulting in a luxurious amber hue. Just as hard as Red Oak and Maple it also expands and contracts 50% less than other hard woods, beneficial for locals with high humidity or temperatures.
Pacific Crossings offers vertical grain Bamboo, which delivers a consistent coloration and even grain; and strand woven which results in a very durable floor. Our strand woven can be purchased hand scraped distressed in medium and dark brown or in the more exotic Tiger Weave in light and dark brown.
Strand Woven Bamboo flooring utilizes long slender strands of bamboo fiber woven together and placed under extreme pressures producing incredible hard and durable flooring. It's not only harder than traditional bamboo flooring it is also has a greater density, beauty and hardness of natural hardwoods. Our Bamboo comes pre-finished with 8 layers of high density UV coating with moisture content less than 8%.
